NES Academic Fellowships in General Practice

The application period for NES Academic Fellowships in General Practice for 2026 - 2027 is now closed. The closing date was 20th April 2026.

Successful candidates have been notified and will start in August 2026.

These fellowships offer unique opportunities for training in academic aspects of general practice, and are ideal for GPs at an early stage of career development contemplating an academic career.

NES Academic Fellowships are fixed term fellowship posts tenable in one of the stated Universities in Scotland. The post is a joint development between NHS Education Scotland (NES) and the Universities in Scotland. The post is suitable for two kinds of applicants.

The application period for NES Academic Fellowships in General Practice for 2026 - 2027 is now closed. The closing date was 20th April 2026.

Interviews were held on 14th May 2026 and successful candidates have been contacted about their appointments.
