Dr Mairi Scott

Dr Mairi Scott was appointed Director of the Professional Development Academy at the University of Dundee in December 2007.

Prior to taking up this post, she combined work for the University with a national role as Chair of the Royal College of General Practitioners (Scotland).

She views the creation of the Academy as a timely development:

"Effective learning should be firmly based around what we need to do the day job whilst meeting the requirements of professional regulation. The PDA will give allow practitioners to achieve both together"
