SSPC National Award Winners 2010

Congratulations to the winners from the SSPC 2010 National Awards which took place at the SSPC Annual Conference in Crieff. Winners are as follows:

• First time presenter/upcoming student researcher

  Ms Kerri Greene, University of St Andrews - "Weight management - is the NHS helping people to help themselves" "I was honoured to be invited to present my research at the 2010 SSPC conference and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of both attending and presenting. I was delighted to win the upcoming student researcher and first time presenter awards for the work I carried out with Professor Cathy Jackson at The University of St Andrews. It was a wonderful experience and would recommend to all those with an interest in advances in primary care to attend. Thank you to all involved!"

• Best Scientific Poster

  Lorna Paul, University of Glasgow - "Identifying the barriers to attendance at annual asthma review by children and their families" "This was my first time at the SSPC conference so it was a lovely surprise to win the prize for the Best Poster. Each presenter was given 10 minutes to talk about the content of their poster and that generated lots of interesting discussion. Overall the conference was great and I will definitely be back"
